@auzzy I’ll have to look at that, but it sounds like some kind of prequel. @mookie

@mookie We watched it a few weeks ago. Kinda disappointed that there won’t be any more.

@jaredwhite I had no idea Apple did that. How disappointing. And yes, it is an amazing, compelling show. @hannu_ikonen

Study: In the first two years of the #COVID19 pandemic, the US saw an estimated 1,179,024 excess deaths. While it struck large metropolitan Northeastern counties early, "nonmetropolitan Southern counties had the highest cumulative relative excess mortality by July 2021." In other words, Republican, rural areas most likely to deny the risks, reject the vaccine and refuse to wear masks.

We are so unprepared for the next #COVID19 wave. Visited a pharmacy to buy some COVID tests. They don't have any and don't plan to restock them. Meanwhile, COVID continues to mutate, the population's immunity continues to fade, and we have another dangerous fall and winter ahead of normal social and travel behaviors with zero mitigations. Those who don't learn from history...

That is: at least 1 out of 20 people hospitalized with COVID in Massachusetts, and up to 1/10 people, DEFINITELY GOT COVID IN THE HOSPITAL.

All Americans deserve the peace of mind that if an illness strikes or an accident occurs, you can get the care you need. My Administration is committed to expanding access to affordable health care and lowering prescription drug costs.

Americans need more breathing room.

@serge Thank you for that. It’s something I’ve often had difficulty explaining to my gentile friends. @psetnik

This is really for my non-Jewish friends...

I know to many of you, Zionism appears to be a left/right issue, that is you believe that Zionist Jews are right wing, and non or anti-Zionist Jews are left wing.

This is not the case.

Zionism is an issue that does not fall neatly in the left/right political paradigm. Early Israeli Zionism was extremely left, even Communist in nature, and modern diasporatic Jews, many of whom are left-learning, are also Zionists.

If you're a gentile and wondering where you should fall on Zionism, the answer is generally: no where.

Zionism is a Jewish issue, deeply tied to Jewish thought and the Jewish experience. It's not a matter for you to weigh in on, and it's generally not a "political" issue, even though it has political implications.

As for Babka, it is not a Zionist or non-Zionist instance. We don't exclude or gatekeep Jews based on their stance towards Zionism.

@jadevol Right. And remember we have no guarantees anyway.

When I finished my treatments I asked my oncologist if I was cured or if I was in remission. His response? “If in ten years, the cancer comes back, you were in remission. If in ten years you’re hit by a bus and killed, then I cured your ass."

The White House is picking a fight with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) after her hometown newspaper in Floyd County touted federal public safety grants the area was set to receive through the American Rescue Plan.
Greene, along with every other House Republican, voted against the American Rescue Plan in March 2021.
