I know I'm getting older, because people's conversations sound like this:

Have you seen Schenley, it's streaming in Smoob, but if you don't have Smoob, you can PowerWerk it on Placebu.

We used to do intake through Franangle, but we're switching to PLOOP, but it doesn't have chat, so we are having to add Blamama XD!

In Celebrity News, Bargain Bin Ted, is now engaged to Dierks, just in time for the opening of their bar/sleep monstrosity Smooth Brain.

@AmishSuperModel @stonekettle No, it was because the school did not have enough guns in it. All the teachers and the other kids should have been armed so that they could have taken that guy down (after a dozen people had been hit, naturally, but at least the shooter would have been taken down).

@enobacon @ai6yr Years and years ago, my brother, living in a loosely-populated area, came up with the notion of an inverse-bus. It would have been like a grocery delivery route for a rural area, where people place their orders and the truck makes its rounds, saving a lot of traffic. And probably carrying some unrequested stock that people could buy off the truck. Seems like it could have/could work.

@enobacon @ai6yr You forgot the artichoke hearts!
Oh, damn, well, I’ll just hop in the car and run back to the store for them.

3 things, when you have them, cause a drop in human mental function:
• cars
• guns
• money

@ai6yr Cycling is great. I do enjoy it (except for the damn cars). But there is one small problem.

Roads.

For bicycles to be useful and efficient, they need paved roads. Pavement is massively costly to lay and maintain.

I am not sure what the answer is, other than greatly reducing suburbanization. Horses, maybe.

This graphic resonates strongly with me... Especially the serious need for us to move to walk/cycle/transportation. (maybe a pipe dream, but one must attempt to take the right path...)

@davidbrin Reagan set the wheels in motion for today’s GOP to form. His dictum was “Never speak ill of a fellow Republican”, and he used the religious RW to amplify his and the R’s power.

And anyway, what with the alzheimers, its is not entirely clear that he was all there to begin with.

@jackmjenkins Oh, they have moderation. e.g., if you have “cis-“ anywhere in you post, it gets modded.

@chetwisniewski @noondlyt Leadership?

Maybe a guy who walks with crutches and uses a long cigarette holder?

@mastodonmigration @noondlyt What else is a few billion dollars good for? Once you get past maybe ten or twenty million, you start to run out of toys to spent you money on: above the comfort level, money is absolutely about power and nothing else.

@nixCraft It is called “Recall”. How can they recall Recall?

@Snowshadow @benroyce When you say “men” you cannot mean “all men” – and some of these people are not men. That some women advocate for the subjugation of women is disturbing.

@MEActNOW Reagan was so much of a dirtbag that he made Nixon look reasonable. Now we are on the verge of reforming Reagan’s memory because of this orange catastrophe, when he got the ball rolling for this in the first place.

Reagan made a deal with Iran to DELAY the release of U.S. hostages til AFTER the election

Nixon made a deal with the Vietnamese to delay ending the war til AFTER the election

Trump likely made a deal with Netanyahu to block a ceasefire til AFTER the election

Same damn playbook - different Traitor

@malcircuit It looks like a fun tourist destination, shall we go there?

@Paxil @uspolitics If he was no all self-destructo, the FRW could rally sround someone like Ammon Bundy, just on his blusteriness. Prob is, right now Individual-ONE is the only person capable of making people admire him for his deliberate slow walk into his own demise.
