Republican hypocrisy

I'm old enough to remember going to the mall or a store and worrying more about a pickpocket than a guy with an AR-15.

I'm old enough to remember going to the doctor and only worrying about my health, not the financial damage an illness would inflict.

I'm old enough to remember being in control of my own uterus.

And I"m not that old.

Things we depend on can unravel fast. If we manage to fight our way out of the brinksmanship we're at now, we should never forget how we allowed it to happen.

Every hour or so, stop what you're doing for a moment. Take a deep breath and check in with your body. Is your jaw clenched? Shoulders tight? Scan your body and relax where there is tension.

Then, take a look around. Pick out a few things you can see, hear, feel, and smell. Anchor yourself in the present moment. Do this several times a day to pull your mind back from anxiety or to just take a mental break from what you're doing.

Then carry on. 😉

@AlliFlowers . We are gobsmacked, but finally the Dems are getting some traction. Much work to do…the legislature is filled with destroyers. I’m hoping deSantis will self-destruct …he’s proving to be a doofus socially and can’t think on his feet. But he has already destroyed county health departments, school boards, local rule…so fast and during the pandemic….we can hardly register.
