Growing up in the 1970s and 80s, we had a set of “Jarts” and used to enjoy playing them on our lawn. But they were definitely dangerous and I’m not surprised so many people were injured and a few killed (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawn_darts )

As @Strandjunker notes, it only took *one* child’s death to galvanize Congress to act and ban metal lawn darts in 1988.

Yet today 3 children died, and the cowards in Congress refuse to act.

@TheRealBozoTClown @Lowie the elementary school across the street ran an “active drag queen” drill for when a drag queen breaches the perimeter to use the on-site, single-person genderless bathroom. Oh wait, that didn’t happen. It was an active-shooter drill. For grade schoolers. The true source of childhood trauma and constant danger in our schools.
