Now we have a bill that bans ALL accommodations for trans students explicitly. It seeks to erase trans people from schools and adds on the litterbox hoax at the very end of the section.

This bill would literally ban trans youth from unisex restrooms "unless they had bottom surgery."

1) Trans youth do not get bottom surgery.
2) North Dakota has a bill that would ban bottom surgery for trans youth.

So it's an all out ban from UNISEX restrooms!

It's cruel.

The links follow an expose on Florida mom Daily Salinas by the Miami Herald. In an interview with the Herald, Salinas said she "is not for eliminating or censoring any books," but wants materials to be appropriate and for students "to know the truth" about Cuba.

@StillIRise1963 Here we are, in a world in which little (white) kids can't be traumatized by learning about history, racism, or the existence of gay people, but we can tell 4-year-olds that somebody might come into their school and shoot them. (But we won't do anything to keep that from happening--it's on the kids to run/hide/fight and apply tourniquets. Deaths and injuries are THEIR FAULT--they didn't run/hide/fight hard enough, or they applied the tourniquets wrong.)

@StillIRise1963 Democratic candidates should lead with facts about repugs hating your children. No schools but work, no healthcare but work, no individuality just work until you die early. Sounds like the 1800s where families had children because of no birth control or healthcare, and they needed them to survive. They sent their children to work to try and keep the family fed and sheltered. The rich held all the money and power and everyone else were indentured to them.
