I think they're fearing physical harm equally if not more than being primaried.
When Trump says something negative about someone, death threats follow. There have been instances of arson and swatting. They know the madman's followers include some lone wolves who will take it upon themselves to act on Dear Leader's wishes.
Minnesota is also a message to his remaining followers.

If they feel they can get away with lying in the public's face about a murder captured by 5 different cameras, then we can only imagine what they are doing in their concentration camps they don't allow public oversight of.
