You'd never know reading the New York Times that charges against Rep. LaMonica McIver are nothing but an authoritarian attack. theintercept.com/2025/05/20/tr

And that they are asserting that J6ers who Trump pardoned for attacking police were ALSO pardoned for prior drug and gun charges. This is not how you make police or the streets safer. It’s how you fire up a mob.

@MalcolmNance My prediction: trump will remain a loyal Putin puppet, and an ignorant megalomaniac.

If you are a lawyer, a judge or just love a country based on equal protection under the law it’s time you’ve got to stand with LaMonica. A President who encourage his political supporters to attack the government is now using the government to attack his political opponents.

Trump uses antisemitism the way he uses religion, patriotism, and the law:

To silence his critics and empower his base.

Nothing more.

Brilliant idea! Next they’ll invent seatbelts and call them “freedom straps.”

Wut

Via Rupar:

HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

HASSAN: That's incorrect

"Hey @jaketapper, is there any timeline for reporting on Donald Trump's clear pattern of cognitive deterioration? I figured you'd be a great person to ask given that you've done so much research and reporting on this area of medicine."

"Let us be plain. What we are being asked to learn about former president Joe Biden’s last months in office is gossip. It is not political news. Unless you are made of feathers, the 'issue' of the former president’s last months in office does not affect your life, or the life of the country, at all."

After decades of civil rights, a new US administration came in and just declared that it's racist and illegal to be anti-racist, and the whole federal government and most corporations just said okay then and flipped over.

@AlliFlowers I am constantly drawn to the issue when I see postings by Harvard Professor Laurence Tribe who has so perfectly taught Constitutional Law to so many of our leaders. It's too bad that Harvard didn't have an equally talented Professor teaching ethics!

@PerryM Actually, I think it's a requirement for government in this administration: no degree, no ethics.
