We can protect children, teachers and parents from a great deal of needless #COVID19 suffering, if only we cared enough to make the modest investment. I looked through old art recently and found this piece that I drew in middle or early high school (10-15 yrs old, for those in different school systems).
Looking at this, I am sad for the child I was - but happy that I've made changes to move away from this. Transition and effective mental health care have been vital.
I'm sharing this to show what the lack of open education about #trans and #queer identities, #neurodivergence, and mental health does to a queer and ND little kid.
