In 1994, Pete Martel was convicted of armed robbery. He served 14 years in prison, was released, got a law degree, is working on a PhD, has served as a public defender, and has gone above and beyond to build a new life.
New MI Supreme Court justice Kyra Harris Bolden hired Pete as a law clerk. Her fellow justice, Richard Bernstein, said Pete's hiring "disgusted" him. Pete resigned to not be a distraction.
I agree with @radleybalko. Bernstein is unfit to serve.

Kevin McCarthy's deal with his defectors reportedly gives them the opportunity to force the U.S. to default on its debt and crash the global economy.
They plan to use the threat of default to force massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

ALERT: Federal court strikes down South Carolina's 1st Congressional District after finding that it is racially gerrymandered in violation of the 14th and 15th Amendments. The court ordered South Carolina lawmakers to draw a new map by March 31, 2023.
