I don’t know how needs to hear this, but Jews self designate based on where we were expelled in the diaspora (and stream of religious observance), not based on Western socially manufactured concepts of race. That’s why when you ask us, we will say Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi, Beta Yisrael, etc.
