It's gonna be quite the contest. Trump with his sharpie vs. the deteriorating climate. The super hero vs. the laws of physics. Who will prevail??

😭

Stop playing the blame game. There’s enough blame to go around. There is no one person or group responsible, and there is no one reason that caused it. Let’s move on.

@FallsMom @TheBreadmonkey I’ve found it just the reverse. Tons on Hoopla, and very limited library on Libby. I guess YMMV.

War is coming, it's a matter of time. Ukraine is dead, Taiwan will finally become a province of China. Prepare.

@GottaLaff Vice President Harris is truly a hero. And while she’s not president, she’s still our great, and favorite Vice President. We still have November, and December to enjoy VP Harris and Pres. Biden’s amazing leadership. We’ll just have to savor every last minute we have with them in power…

PS: if i was Pres. Biden, I would sign into law everything he can… Oh, and two months with Joe and Kamala is better than nothing…

Trump election

@paco it's horrible. And such a terrible scenario for Palestinians and Ukrainians. Such despair.

Will Repugnicans finally stop saying that teachers and professors are brainwashing everyone? If we are, we are clearly not very good at it

Those who DO learn from history are doomed to watch others repeat it anyway.

OK one more thing...

Further proof it is the racism here in Wisconsin.

Looks like Tammy Baldwin is going to retain her Senate seat by some 25,000 votes. Trump carried the state.

Which says to me that 25K people here in WI are perfectly fine voting for a white, openly bisexual woman, but not a Black woman. You cannot tell me there is any difference in competence or policy positions between Harris and Baldwin. It sure looks like racism to me.

This whole election looks to me like "Urban Renewal" in the 1960s.

After working in factories for 2 decades starting in WWII Black people starting buying houses. White people left in droves. After the while folks left, they made sure to "get rid of the eyesores" (Black people's neighborhoods) that remained in the cities. They would talk about "economic development" and "revitalization" but underneath it was just pure, ugly racism.

That's what drove this election. Not money, not campaign ad spending, not the economy. Just pure racism (by which I include all other "divisions," immigrants, Muslims, LGTBQ+, sexism, etc.)

@MylesRyden @uspolitics To those who insisted that's not who "we" are, I regret to repeat myself: That is, indeed, who "we" are.

@dogzilla First thing I said to my husband this morning upon waking “so what country are we moving to!”

Colorado voted Tuesday to preserve abortion access in the state constitution and lifted a 40-year-old ban on using government money to pay for abortions.

@TonyStark The only reason Ohio got to reject its similar amendment is because voters rejected a 60% threshold in a separate ballot measure first. So many hoops to make voters go through just to allow women rights to our own bodies.

This. This this this this. So much this. I'm tired of incompetent, stupid, criminal white people getting a pass.
