'Never again' is now: Scholz vows to protect #Germany's Jews —AFP
@SrRochardBunson Isn’t it thieves?
@ClintonAnderson @SallyStrange Now if only there were an easy way to go back and see who I haven’t followed back because I had to put in a request. I found two!
@SallyStrange I know….
Happy birthday to #inventor Hedy Lamarr (1914 – 2000) & Hollywood star. Born Hedwig Keisler in Vienna, she gained fame after her risqué & notorious starring role in Machatý's ‘33 film Ecstasy. Mandl, 1st of 6 husbands, objected & tried unsuccessfully to buy all copies of film. Hedy objected to him, a munitions manufacturer, dealing with fascists despite both being of Jewish heritage. She learned secret of her beauty was to "stand there and look stupid” … 🧵1/n
@ClintonAnderson It just feels..I dunno. I understand if all your posts are for followers only, but when they’re public, and non followers can still interact - what’s the point?
@SallyStrange I just enjoy some of them. Oh well.
@dgar Please. Put us out of our misery and tell us. @oldredsubby
Echoes of #Jan6 committee as Jack Smith foreshadows plan to tie Trump to Capitol attack
#JackSmith plans to show at trial that #Trump’s knowledge of the riot while it was ongoing — his stoking of an angry crowd & his post-J6 whitewashing of its conduct — proves he intended to use the mob’s chaos to advance his conspiracies to stay in power. #TrumpIndictment https://www.politico.com/news/2023/11/09/donald-trump-jan-6-riot-defendant-00126258
I’ve gotten a number of new followers lately whom I’d like to follow back, but they require a request to follow. That seems to defeat the point of this kind of social media, so I don’t request.
If you’re tooting publicly so that your followers can boost your posts and I can see and interact with you, why do you need a private account?
@jhavok@mastodon.social What do you want them to do? Throw their own bodies down as canon fodder? @FrankFrank
@urbanfoxe Some sure do. They’ve been tested by fire and are far more aware of the world in general. But that started with whichever generation was Columbine.
I’m all out of WaPo gift articles for the month because I try and share so many but it sure is, Mr. Milbank. It sure is.
Most of the Jewish Americans I know have a living memory of relatives or very recent ancestors who suffered unbelievable antisemitic violence in pogroms or in the Shoah. Most are also anti-Netanyahu and for a genuine multi-state solution. Not that it seems to matter.

@stevesilberman Maybe it's not actually his own skin?
@JaneRLaForge They think climate change is a hoax.
@urbanfoxe Just don’t be ageist.
