Florida USA is home state for Republican politician Ron DeSantis who has brought in many oppressive anti LGBTQ+ laws.
OTOH Gainesville city in #Florida is giving "Against Me!" frontwoman and #trans punk luminary Laura Jane Grace a key to the city in recognition of her greatness.
City Commissioner Bryan Eastman says, "Against Me! is one of the greatest punk rock bands of all time, and Laura Jane Grace is an LGBTQ icon and one of the best lyricists in music history.”

@Rasta That’s much healthier. I dislike C&W. I find it totally phony. I like western music from 60 years ago. I love bluegrass. C&W is the result of not being able to perform legitimate music. Not crazy about rap, but I do like some hip hop.

My partner Scott pointed out that disaster has followed our last 2 vacas. Notre Dame burned 24 hours after we left Paris in 2019. And now the famous Sycamore Tree in England was cut down 3 weeks after our visit. So we are trying to make reservations for Mar-a-Lago for next month.

Being a reasonable, logical person I MUST assume these judges all have medical degrees with specialties in OB/GYN, otherwise how could they determine what constitutes stabilization of a patient versus preventing the death of a woman?
The Dobbs decision and radical far-right, unqualified, incompetent, ideologically-driven judges have made women second-class citizens and rendered their lives and decisions meaningless.
EVERY SINGLE REPRODUCTIVE LAW is based on religious dogma, and the US is not a theocracy.
Today is about abortion and trans care. Tomorrow will be contraception, sterilization, IVF therapy, LGBTQIA families and LGBTQIA equality.

TODAY IN AMERICA 30/9/23
On this last day of September, a large portion of the country is STILL sweltering in the gawd-awful climate change driven heat.
New York declared a state of emergency as more than 10 inches of rain unexpectedly dropped from the sky. It created chaos for millions.
Instead of donning a coat against the Autumn cool, Americans are wearing out yet another pair of shorts and tank tops.
More elderly died from the heat today. The day before October!

I guess that we won't have a government shutdown after all-the house approved a bill to fund the government for 45 more days.
Then we get to do this all over again. I'm getting so tired of this nonsense and drama. Let's vote the Republicans out of office and end this hostage taking shit.
