I am just sick of being told we have to compromise when it comes to:
- Climate change
- Feeding children in poverty.
- Protecting the sick from bankruptcy.
- Investing in adult education for a skilled workforce.
- Increasing the value of labour so it returns more than the value of risk taking.

While trillions in subsidies are signed to Halliburton etc for some shareholder payday.

This is not the compromise I am interested in.

Fox News continues it's web of lies. They reported that the family of a fallen Marine in Afghanistan had to pay to have her body brought back to the United States. This was a lie. This life fundamentally undermines Marine protocol and philosophy. The Marines objected. Fox still didn't fix it. The Marines objected again and Fox deleted the story without comment. 1/2

Ukraine has become the largest minefield in the world because of the Russian invasion.

About 1/3 of the country - 174,000 square kilometers, is contaminated with all kinds of mines and munitions.

That's about as much as all the Baltic States put together.

Instead of saying it was motivated by hate, perhaps we should say it was because of an irrational fear of anyone different from their own image.

The Civil War never ended; it has continued by other means since Booth assassinated Lincoln. What happened in #jacksonville was just another skirmish in that Civil War. The Confederacy is alive and well, and its leaders - DeSantis, Trump, Musk - use every means at their disposal to oppress anyone not a Christian white male. And they have created an army of lone gunmen who are ready to lay down their lives for this dark cause. There is a direct line from Booth to this Jacksonville Jackass.
