It's hard to overstate the danger to a free society, democracy and truth with Kevin McCarthy handing over 41,000 hours of Jan. 6 footage to Fox's election-denying, pro-Putin propagandist Tucker Carlson. This is a betrayal of American democracy and freedom.
Lovely long day. First chance I’ve had to read anything here. Started off doing training for the county Literacy Council. Waste of my time, but it had to be done. I’ll start tutoring 4th and 5th graders next week. Twice a week. Should be fun.
Also met with two local women in the afternoon. We will be doing a weekly “table française” so they can get their spoken French up to conversational. That will also be fun.
Tomorrow, the most fun of all, we’ll be taking Oreo in for his spring hair cut.

The local University #MichiganTech recently reversed a student government decision and forced them to fund a conservative speaker from Turning Point USA claiming that not doing so violated the speaker's constitutionally protected free speech. A busy week of student activism, secret meetings, and social media pressure all lead up to a fierce clash between students and administration this past Friday.

Republicans in Congress want to extend the Trump tax cuts – giving the top 0.1% a $175,000 annual tax cut.
That tax cut alone is more than twice what the typical family makes in a year.
This would explode the deficit and leave the American taxpayer footing the bill.
