Knitting at the county fair today. The first time I went to one of these after moving to the US a friend told me I had to eat something fried because it was "culturally significant to Americans" and I can't see deep fried fair food without thinking that now.

@lindasgoluppiart I’ll add, think about what comes next, let you imagination run wild. There is no certainty this cognizant journey is over at the time of passing out of this mortal life, just passing to the next phase, whatever that might be. It would be a mistake to make assumptions. 😊

I recently got a new coffee brewer, a Mr Coffee, which does a fine job of brewing coffee at an economical price and made a discovery. If I use a metal mesh basket to hold the grounds instead of a paper filter, it improves the flavor tremendously. That is what my taste buds told me. How many of you disagree with this assessment? 😉 I read that the mesh basket allows the coffee bean oils to come though.

Anyone familiar with mentimeter? I’ve always used PollEverywhere, and prefer it, but I’m doing a presentation for an organization that doesn’t want me to use PE and has approved mentimeter. My issue is that I can’t format mentimeter in my PPT.

@miah We are all held hostages to the Corporatocracy. And collectiveluly we are too sheep like to rise up collectively and demand better. If something takes away from profits, that’s no good! Better to put it off till tomorrow after the Earth spontaneously erupts. And even if “they” agree to take your battery, it will more likely than not end up in the dumpster out back. 😐

Hopefully at least a half dozen of these budding lemons will hang on and mature into full fruit. The plant is covered in them at the moment but can’t sustain them all so most of them fall off. Fingers crossed a few hang on though! 🍋
Not the best platform, but I’m going to make what some will call a religious statement, but I describe as philosophical, the Necessity of Meaning in this life. The debate will be about the definition of meaning. 🫣🙃IMO, that meaning would have to include a continuation of consciousness or what exactly is the point? So what, you learned a lesson or you gained wisdom and became a better person, if everyone you know ends up “not existing” does anything you do in this life matter in any way? 🤔
