Anyone familiar with mentimeter? I’ve always used PollEverywhere, and prefer it, but I’m doing a presentation for an organization that doesn’t want me to use PE and has approved mentimeter. My issue is that I can’t format mentimeter in my PPT.

Help?

@AlliFlowers there is a Menti meter add on for PPT that should make it easier!

@jnyrose I installed it right away. But it doesn’t seem to allow for any formatting, and the left side is off the slide.

@AlliFlowers oh god, that must be driving you spare. Do you have the master slide formatted differently (the PPT one?)

@jnyrose Nope. I even tried formatting the MM one differently with no results. So annoying.

@AlliFlowers argh. This is what they get for not understanding how things work. And then leaving you stuck with inadequate tools. I also know the add-on hates the online version of PPT (the add-on used to regularly break unless used on the desktop version). I HATE tech issues like this as you can spend hours just trying to get PPT to just…work.

@jnyrose Oh, you’d be amazed at some of what they do because they have no experts, only volunteers running things.

@AlliFlowers (I also hate it. And my work disabled most add ons, so since the last update I have had to just build quizzes in menti online and link out to them.)

@jnyrose Ugh. I won’t even be able to do that. This is for a presentation to an organization that works hard not to share any private information. I can’t find the person to convince that PE doesn’t require any information to take a poll.

@AlliFlowers I think it depends on your organisation's subscription settings. Has been a while for me, but back then we had cheap subscription that forced you to make the presentation within Mentimeter, with severely limited formatting options, or you could port in a ppt but then it rendered everything as inaccessible low-res image/screenshots on to slides. Ended up flipping over to Mentimeter for specific interactive tasks then back to ppt.

@sejarnold I got lucky, and someone emailed me and suggested I use Poll Everywhere instead. D’uh.
