My husband had a medical procedure done today.
He profusely thanked the nurse who helped him when we left.

Once in the car he told me this nurse has breast cancer.
It has metastasized to her brain and she needs to have chemo every 3 weeks.
She does it Friday evenings to make sure she won't miss a day's work.
Because if she stops working she loses coverage.
