"The order mandates the Social Security commissioner must share federal databases with state and local election officials verifying the eligibility of registered voters and those attempting to register. It also charges the Department of Homeland Security and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency to review state voter registration lists."

The White House might say no classified material, but as per Trump's stolen documents case, he'll say he declassified it by retroactive fiat (or whatever).

The law avoids that absurd attempt at a loophole by saying "national defense information," which this was.

Don't get caught up in "classified." The issue is much bigger.

@WarnerCrocker It doesn't matter what the administration says. Every MAGA already hates The Atlantic, and every non-MAGA knows who the liars are. I'm pretty sure The Atlantic is aware of this as well, and is not even tempted to leak. If I were the editor, I'd get good personal protection, though, because I don't trust the government not to try to disappear him.
