A responsible reporter would have only asked him "what's your reaction to Sinwar's death?" And then, when he asked "who?," she would have just repeated only "Sinwar's death. Yahya Sinwar." Without telling Trump who Sinwar was.

Because Americans have a right to know that Trump has no idea who Sinwar was, and didn't know that he died, or how he died. And reporters have an obligation to tell us that.

They have failed. Catastrophically.
