@w7voa
Our media will endlessly broadcast Trump's lies about his investigations and indictments being a #WitchHunt but they'll never accurately describe the Republican efforts to take down Joe Biden through his son Hunter as an actual Witch Hunt.

Why is that?

SUPER TROOPER
Abba

They found me guilty, guilty
That's what they just told me
Guilty on all counts
Jury found no doubts
Bigly guilty on all counts

I was sick and tired of everything
when I farted there in that courtroom
All I do is sit and sit and stare
At these witnesses spelling my doom...

“Mrs. Alito Isn't the Problem: Justice Alito lied to the media and to the public. His judicial integrity cannot be trusted. And he doesn't care that you know it.” thebulwark.com/p/mrs-alito-isn

Those 34 felonies are the only convictions the man has, folks.

There's your Biden line.

I guess TFG, which used to stand for:

The Former Guy

Now stands for:

The Felon Guy

Right?

I hope the jury & judge & the lawyers & the DA & their families are protected & safe. The convict better not target them. But we know he will.

So the Democrats had the first woman to be nominated for President and the Republicans have the first convicted felon to be nominated for President.

Quite a distinction in the glass ceiling being broken.

Okay, the trial is now over. Can we please talk about some of the other damn issues that we face.

Have you heard about Erik Prince's WhatsApp messages to Nazis that just broke today?

It seems like a great time to share this prophetic tweet from Lindsey Graham.

Grateful for a fair judge, 12 New Yorkers who did their public service, and that we live in a country where the rule of law prevailed.

Breaking: Trump wins New York’s 34 criminal charges in a landslide.

@DemocracyMattersALot Found guilty on all 34 counts. Wow.

Now comes the real question: are there any actual consequences for him? Or will he succeed in delaying/weaseling out of everything.

Trump's lawyer Todd Blanche: We move for a judgment of acquittal. There is no way this jury could have reached a verdict without relying on Michael Cohen - he lied, in this case. He cannot be used to convict President Trump
Justice Merchan: I'm sure you misspoke

Convicted felon Donald Trump (I may never get tired of those words) is prohibited from voting for President in his home state of Florida.

But in an indication that our law is an ass, being a convicted felon is not a barrier to running for president. Presumably the founders never envisaged that their beloved Republic would sink so low that anyone could possibly vote for an unrepentant criminal.

live your life so that when the verdict comes in and you are convicted of 34 felonies millions of people don't celebrate

Spare a thought for the brave jurors in the Trump trial today. Trump is a vindictive narcissist.

Just landed in Atlanta. Turned my phone on and the news is all good

Mentioned on MSNBC, the growing alliance between #ElonMusk and #Trump, as if we need another reason to question the wisdom of billionaires. My wild ass guess, besides being two simpatico egomaniacs, Musk may view Trump as the “less regulation” Maniac in Charge, and blind or indifferent to Trump’s fascist nature. 🤔🔥

If jurors were required to be #unanimous on which unlawful means (#crimes) #Trump employed, it may have been harder to reach a verdict.

Merchan explains the elements of the #felony falsification charge. He says the records at issue can pertain to a private business & can be electronic or other data.
