How to build a bullet-proof case

Witness testifies that only Trump signed checks for Trump account

All checks had invoices PHYSICALLY STAPLED to them. So Trump always saw which check for which invoice

AND sometimes Trump VOIDED a payment

So Trump had ability to say no to Michael Cohen payments

74/ Klasfeld:

At one point during his remarks, he said witnesses they’re calling “have nothing to do with the case.”

As he left, your pooler shouted: How is the judge conflicted? Which witnesses were you speaking about?

Reminder:

Trump's attorney Todd Blanche previously said that his client can't simply give no-comments to press inquiries like this, but the former president confirms once again that he can.

Donald Trump is definitely going to jail.

It’s just a question of when, and for how long.

62/ Weissmann:

The falsity of the invoices is made crystal clear by the fact that if it were just a reimbursement is would be paid 1 for 1 and recorded as such (ie Trump wd owe Cohen $130,000), but the reimbursement had to be doubled because it was disguised as income on which Cohen would have to pay taxes. Weisselberg and McConney BOTH took notes that reflect that scheme.

@Nonilex

Why not put him in jail?

In the real world, people get tossed behind bars for their first contempt of court.

Breaking: Trump argues that since the memo line of his check to Cohen did not say "criminal payment" then he is innocent.

@tdwllms1 @GottaLaff NFL: I don't see why he can't be jailed overnights then allowed to shower and dress for trial at Rikers. Lots of prisoners do that. Doesn't need to interrupt the trial.

15/ Pagliery:

What was different this time was that Justice Merchan finally addressed the elephant in the room.

No, not Trump.

I'm talking about the potential for destabilizing the nation & directing the fury of MAGA on NYC.

Merchan understands the stakes. And they are unbelievably high.

@AmishSuperModel @GreenFire Anyways, Jefferson was the one to establish the principle of the wall of separation between church & state — the guideline officially confirmed by a number of Presidents after him.
Presidents, who were able to understand, what Jefferson meant to say - without needing tremendously beautiful drawings.😎

"...
1. Thomas Jefferson (1802): “I contemplate with sovereign reverence [quotes the First Amendment establishment and free exercise clauses] thus building a wall of separation between church and state.”
2. James Madison (1819): “Both society and religion benefit from the total separation of the church from the state.”
3. Ulysses S. Grant (1876): “Keep the church and state forever separate.”
4. John F. Kennedy (1960): “I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute.”
5. Richard Nixon (1960): “The separation of church and state is not subject to discussion or alteration.”
6. Jimmy Carter (1977): “I believe in the separation of church and state.”
7. Ronald Reagan (1984): “We establish no religion in this country, church and state are, and must remain separate.”

I have no idea what day it is, but I’ve been discharged from the hospital. Yay!

Sometimes I feel like criticizing something Joe Biden has felt he had to do on some issue or something, but then I ask myself who does that benefit?

It's not going to benefit me just by venting and it most certainly is not going to make the POTUS do something that he thinks is the wrong thing to do. He seems set in his ways.

So who benefits? Well, his opponents benefit. Well, do I want his opponents to be stronger because of something I did?

No, I do not want Biden's opponents to be stronger.
