If I understand correctly:

The impeachment case that the GOP was building against Biden has now completely fallen apart. It was predicated on lies. Schiff is scoring the correct political points for that.

But the big picture is: Like Hur, Weiss is a Trumper whom Garland gave too much power. Weiss indicted Hunter for acts that don't warrant indictment, and he's also shielded himself, Barr, and Giuliani from justice, helping to cover up actual treason.
