I'm worried about GOP cheating too. Election denial wasn't really a thing until Trump invented it in 2020. Now, the GOP has hundreds of election deniers in positions where they can change outcomes.

Separately, the GOP also has become much more aggressive with voter suppression laws.

If you let conservatives close schools because they are low performing schools, you are saying “I don’t want those kids to EVER have a school again”. The founders of this country recognized the need for public education, but we have drifted away from that philosophy. Once schools are gone, they won’t re-open.

OK, so the police made a mistake and did a license plate lookup using "AZ" (Arizona) rather than "AR" (Arkansas). That is understandable.

But why the guns and handcuffs? Can the officers articulate concrete reasons for this? (I seriously doubt that they can.)

Our police forces and officers are operating under the belief that that the officers are allowed to commit the most egregious abuses - including killing - if they have the most insubstantial grounds to believe they should be fearful.

That is wrong.

I agree completely. Every Republican knows that Trump tried to have his own vice president assassinated. Some of them think that Pence deserved to be killed, and the rest don't care.

None of these criminal indictments will have any significant effect on the election at all. By imagining that they will, we are forfeiting our last remaining opportunities to save our democracy.

In advance of potential indictment, consider likelihood that it will substantiate that #Trump, at the very least, sicced a mob he knew to be armed on his own VP, VP's spouse, and daughter. An indictment may make even stronger allegations.

And the MAGAt base won't care.

For those who have been laboring to understand what #woke means, it's simply a slang word for "enlightened", "civil", or "well-educated", personality flaws that no #Republican wants to be associated with.

@persagen Commandmrnt 9 - thou shalt not bear false witness. Janet Porter and every Republican do nothing but contravention this commandment. There doesn't seem to be an exception for doing it for Jesus so it isn't ok. Evangelicals have opened the gates of Hell and they're running in!
