Eight years ago I stayed up until around 4 am following the absolute horror as the facts of the reality of what happened at Mother Emanuel Church in #Charleston. The next day my horror turned to shock as Dylann Roof was captured here in my town of Shelby NC. 12 hours after I made myself go to sleep, I was in a courtroom that I appeared in every day staring at the face of evil as it sat waiting for an extradition hearing. Such a surreal day.
