I hope all of you living in districts with red congressmembers will make a point of calling & writing regularly over the next few weeks to tell them you want to see them working to benefit their constituents, & you don't want to see endless performative investigations.

Even if you don't think they'll listen, let them know. Don't ask for progressive things, they'll immediately shut you out. Just ask them to work for the people that put them there, not for stupid stuff to make Trump happy.

Howdy all! So, big news: I was laid off from my website maintenance/graphic design day job today, out of the blue – happy holidays! So my schedule is suddenly wide open for other work. I still edit podcasts/videocasts and do livestream production for Roddenberry Entertainment, and ideally would like to find more of that work on a steady basis. I did technical production on January 2022’s TrekTalks telethon benefiting Hollywood Food Coalition, and will do the same for the January 2023 event.

@jann Its been a weird adjustment to start using hashtags again. Years on birdsite and other social networks has trained me that hashtags are spammy, and that the algorithm is the preferred method of boosting relevant posts on a subject matter.

Now that I’m starting to embrace the hashtag, I really do think this is a much, much better way of participating!

Y'all, maybe this is on purpose, but almost no one I am seeing is hash tagging their posts.

Just make sure you meant to avoid it...cos hash tagging is the only way search works here - by design.
