#TIL that the number "40" in the Bible was not literal, but just represented a big number/a long time. For example, saying Jesus fasted in the wilderness for 40 days is like saying "wow Sally, it's been a bajillion years since I've seen you!"
Nonetheless, many religious folks throughout history have taken Biblical numerology way too literally.
It's a tiny thing, but is yet another reminder - the Bible was propaganda written by multiple authors with varying goals, for readers of specific cultures. It was never meant to be understood by people of other countries, languages, time periods. It should absolutely not be taken as a flawless, eternal source of moral guidance.

Nebraska will be his eighth bankruptcy. The state cannot meet its financial obligations, as they have lost 80-90% of its undocumented workforce and now there is nobody to work the farms. They are about a month, maybe less, from defaulting.

Wyoming will be his ninth, for much the same reasons. Their undocumented workforce has fled for safer states and safer cities, and now there's nobody to work the cattle ranches. As these states' tax base shrinks, their economy shrinks, these red states' governments are quickly becoming unable to pay their bills.

Florida may be his tenth, with millions and millions of homes standing vacant and unsellable. The Florida real estate bubble is about to burst and burst hard.

These are the first few dominos. Watch them. As they go, so will the nation go.
