Trump Administration Wants to Let Banks Jack Up Your Overdraft Fees

Trump 2.0 wants the people to know that they still have *none* out of three branches of the government working for them, and, yes, it's this bad.

A team from Elon Musk’s SpaceX
is reworking the systems at the Air Traffic Control Command Center in Virginia Monday
in the wake of last month’s deadly air disaster in Washington, DC.

The news comes after CNN reportedthat the Federal Aviation Administration fired hundreds of probationary employees who maintain critical air traffic control infrastructure.
The exact number of workers losing their jobs is unknown,
but the union representing them said it was in the “hundreds.”

The Trump administration is trying to eliminate thousands of federal employees as it works with Congressional Republicans on a massive tax cutting bill that is said to favor mostly corporations and the wealthy

Musk’s status as a major government contractor
— mostly through his company SpaceX
— represents a massive conflict of interest that both he and Donald Trump have repeatedly attempted to downplay.

Today, my rights amongst all disabled people’s rights in the United States are at risk. In fact, it’s alarming. Let me share with you what’s going on.

Currently, there is a lawsuit threatening essential protections under Section 504. The Texas v. Becerra lawsuit includes 17 Republican-led states suing the U.S. government to remove Section 504 which is a legal bedrock for disability civil rights.

@GottaLaff

OFFS indeed. They should just ship all the tests to anyone who requests them up to ten per family🤢 . Or, if they don't want to do the right thing, they could sell them for $1.00 each. USPS could deliver them for free and that would raise $160 million which could be used to pay down the debt, bolster social security, rehire some air traffic controllers, or a million other worthwhile uses.

But they'll just trash them because when it comes to stupid, wasteful, and evil, this administration is #1 by far. 🤢

I'm watching Canadian officials hold a presser on the Toronto plane crash and remarkably they're not blaming DEI or recklessly speculating about causes. They could never cut it down here in Trumplandia.

"I have been trying to identify the 'doge' administrator all weekend. I have asked the White House for a name and have received no answer.

I keep hearing from USDSers that whenever they ask who the acting administrator is, they get no answer from their leaders.

I have a couple of ideas, but if you have any insight into who is serving as the formal USDS/DOGE administrator please reach out.

@GottaLaff thanks. Yeah, "the President has the authority to do this, because he can fire people who don't bow to his every whim" is not how lawful authority, especially in a democracy, works. Giving into this as "this is just the way it works" is disrespectful of every decision that was ever arrived at through a legal and democratic process.

And anything that can be changed on some old man whim can be changed to something else just as fast.

FDA cuts hit AI division, even as Trump invests in the technology: The office has a strained relationship with Musk’s company Neuralink statnews.com/2025/02/16/fda-la via @statnews.com

That's insane. That's 15,000 Americans without jobs and countless Americans who won't get their tax refunds in a timely manner from understaffing.

A lot of people rely on their tax return money coming.

Again, we know this stuff. But it’s up to us to make sure Trump voters and non-voters do.

Democrats weren’t doing this stuff. And the money taken from these salaries is going to Musk and Trump, not us.
