I didn't want to mention this earlier as I didn't want to get on to the "Biden should drop out" train, preferring to wait for it to play out, but the benefit as I see it is that Harris can (and WILL) become the first woman to become POTUS in her own right, rather than having it handed to her later when Biden would inevitably resign not long into his second term.

Personally, I think Kamala will crush him, doing what Hillary should have done in '16.

VP Harris was once a prosecutor. If she puts on that hat, she can tear Trump up.

If she picks Secretary Pete, he is witty, knowledgeable, and quick. I think he could easily dismantle JD Vance.

Both have proven they can lead.
