I was just reading about this. 130 million (54%) adults are now below the 6th grade level and 54 million are functionally illiterate. Also, 40% of students across the US cannot read at the basic level for their age/grade.

With the amount of college debt, and the insane amount spent on K-12 education, this is a national emergency.

I'm awful at grammar and punctuation, but I can read.

I have let people go who may not be aware they come off as uneducated or antisemitic.
