Canadians know that you can write a letter to Santa and he will write you back. But one thing I only found out today is that this project is international. If kids send a letter addressed to:

Santa Claus
North Pole
H0H 0H0
Canada

With correct international postage from anywhere in the world, they will get a letter back in reply. Canada Post recommends getting the letters in by December 2 to get a response around the holidays. (No guarantees for delivery date)

Explosion on the Rainbow Bridge connecting New York and Ontario at Niagara. Reports from the scene say a car crashed into the toll booth and exploded. @DrPsyBuffy I don't think it's concerted. I think it's just widespread laziness and dismissiveness. This summer I came down with some awful virus, and suspected West Nile because it has been observed in my area. I was tested for covid & flu but they had no interest in pursuing it further, telling me it probably wasn't West Nile because that's rare. Of course, if you don't test for it, your statistics will show that it's rare. I expect similar attitudes to covid in many areas.
