Trump knows what he’s doing when he calls his enemies “vermin” in his speeches and online. He’s dehumanizing them. This has happened to my community twice in my lifetime: once during World War II, and again during the pandemic. It is so dangerous, and Trump knows it. He’s preparing his base to do things that you can’t do to other humans, only to subhumans. Be warned. Be vigilant.

You're conflating the 2 intentionally.

Nobody "indoctrinated" me to "believe" that Dictionary definitions for words are "in fact" Dictionary definitions for words.

Your belief structure demands indoctrination. Mine does not.

@avi917 @lednabwm That's not what those things mean. Atheism literally means the absence of belief that any deities exist. Agnosticism, on the other hand, is the belief that it is unknowable whether deities exist or not. So literally the opposite of what you seem to have heard; agnosticism is a philosphy with the tenet "I don't know & you can't know either", while atheism is simply a word describing not believing in gods.

Also, remember: A negative can't be proven & so requires no evidence.

@MylesRyden Yes, I don't think Trump's followers are, many of them, being conned. I think they are wilfully casting their lot with him, knowing full well who he is — because the cruelty appeals to them. Cruelty is the point.

It doesn't make any sense to me that we'd let others' religious beliefs limit what we do or how we do it.
