When people use the phrase "generational trauma" to describe Jewish people being concerned about a spike worldwide in incidents of antisemitism, this is flatly a dismissal of the violence we face.

It's victim-blaming couched in the language of psychology. It denigrates the only community structures that often exist to protect us from harm. It's designed to derail and distract the communities we rely on for safety.
