There was a situation here in Ontario a few years ago. Some ice fishermen were stranded when the ice they were on broke away from the shore ice. Helicopters rescued them. That same night, a homeless man froze to death in a bus shelter. I wrote a letter to the Star, pointing out the discrepancy in the reaction to these two things. The Star agreed with me on the phone when they called to verify who I was but didn't publish my letter. Funny how that works.
