60 years ago today, Mississippi @naacp field secretary Medgar Evers, a #WW2 veteran who fought in Normandy, was murdered outside his home in Jackson. His case was reopened in 1989, & his assassin finally convicted 5 years later. #history

On Earth 2.0, Republican leaders could urge the base to keep calm and carry on, trusting the rule of law and the criminal justice system.
But, as we have frequently noted, we do not live in this world.
Number of military planning documents Hillary Clinton took, had lying around her residence and showed to visitors, and retained, concealed, and lied about after their return was requested--so that our government didn't know what secrets foreign adversaries had access to?
Zero.

"Their civil war is imaginary, but there really are men with guns, more now than I’ve seen in 20 years of reporting on the right." do not laugh off right-wing threats of violence over the #TrumpIndictment https://www.rawstory.com/clay-higgins-civil-war/
We’ve had 46 U.S. Presidents, and they’ve been indicted on a total of 71 felony counts. Here’s how it breaks down:
President numbers:

Sixty years ago today. We must remember his legacy and keep fighting for Black people and accountability and a society that is no longer an anti-Black person society. #MedgarEvers #BlackMastodon #Mastodon

"They understand it’s not theirs, it is the country’s. Trump was asked to give these documents back, and not only did he not give them back, the indictment suggests that he was packing them and moving them around and hiding them from federal investigators, and then lying to them and directing his lawyers to lie to them about where the documents were and how many he had."
Both parties are not the same:
Democrats introduce bills to eliminate loopholes in child labor laws (preventing 12-year-olds from working 14 hours daily in agriculture and using dangerous equipment while still allowing people on family farms to pass on traditions). Republicans write new state legislation allowing children to work in factories and serve alcohol in restaurants.

Lots of tough talk. And they are willing to take on unarmed, peaceable civilians. But they've yet shown courage against armed forces.
I've read that the legal system is fearful of violence. They shouldn't have fear. They should be determined and prepared. The more prepared they are, the less likely there will be violence.
