Turns out the online us.gov reservation site for national parks, hiking permits, campgrounds etc. Is outsourced to a billion dollar corporation who's been charging all sorts of hidden junk fees like Ticketmaster. They are suing for refunds for the ill gotten hidden fees. Hope they win the lawsuit

A year ago in Texas, a teenager just one day past his 18th birthday legally purchased an AR-15 and 3 days later purchased another. Four days after that he entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde and killed 19 children and 2 teachers. Texas Republicans offered prayers...and nothing else.

Only regulations for gun safety are the problem. However, bans against women’s rights, gender affirming care, D.E.I., books…well, that's alright. They just need hate for votes.

@StillIRise1963 This “white American” got very early lessons on fascism and hate. At age 7 years old I was beaten and ostracized by the neighbor kids because their parents told them I’m a Christ killing Jew, they would hold me down and feel for my devil horns. Not one neighborhood kid was allowed to enter my house. This bullshit in 1961 California! People of color aren’t alone in carrying the burden of ignorance and hate!

Just parked behind a car with multiple queer and trans bumper stickers, several medical bumper stickers and one that says “straight outta surgery” (like the “straight outta Compton” meme) and I’m delighted to read this as being a trans surgeon and someone happily celebrating their own gender affirming surgery.
