Photo descriptions for blind people were introduced through AI and vision detection. Object detection enables the camera to idenify signs, doors, and other objects. This already exists via Apple's AI efforts. But, I suppose it's not sexy if it's not so visible or noisy like ChatGPT.

This is a recurring panic, a tool repeatedly employed by the political-religious right to instill fear. The fear that those employing this tool want to instill is fear of necessary social changes to give rights to previously marginalized groups — people of color, women, LGBTQ people.

The people driving this fear are noticeably men.
