Could you even imagine if people reacted to HIV/ AIDS the way they do to Covid/Long Covid? @AlliFlowers in that instance, it's understandable. Perhaps more the relation itself. An 'ex' is personal and directly connected vs. someone you don't know (former president, former head of XYZ Company, etc.)

Kids can learn about bleeding from gunshot wounds but not menstruation? Sounds republican.
