Shaking their head and not believing it when an adult tells them truths about themselves!!!
I said “no way, not in here girl. I am telling you right now that you are a good kid, and you make me happy every day.”

More silence, more CONFUSION. You gotta tell your kids this stuff more. Even if they can be little buttheads sometimes. They need to hear it because they don’t believe it.
At the end of the talk before we went outside for a mask break, the little girl came up, arms open wide and hugged me.

It was my first hug from her this year.
