I would be more concerned if Rowling were a saint of a person, but she wrote books where the main character embraced fascism and misoginy. That would be a problem. I don't care about the personal life of Gene Roddenberry, as long as Star Trek promotes universal values of humanism, diversity and inclusion. In those cases, the work speaks a lot more than the life of the person.

The College Board is hitting back at top GOP officials in Florida over the state's ban on a new AP African American Studies course that's being piloted in several states.

In a lengthy statement released Saturday, the national education nonprofit said it should have more quickly addressed claims by Florida's Department of Education that the course was indoctrinating students and lacked educational value, which the College Board called "slander."

I don't know how many people are aware of this fact, but #Israel doesn't have a constitution, & it only really has 2 branches of government: the executive and judicial (the prime minister controls the legislative chamber).

Now the PM, #Netanyahu, is trying to dissolve the independent judiciary (including their supreme court) to make it subject to political hirings & firings with zero oversight from anyone other than the majority party, which must only garner 61 out of 120 legislative votes.
