Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t just unfit to serve in Congress. By the letter of the law, it would seem she should be ineligible.

“Every time I look at the 20-odd nihilists in the House chamber, who crave attention and care not one whit about serving the public and real governance, my mind drifts to 2021. Where is the yellow crime tape? Where is justice?”

@politicsusa46 No reason to dignify these insurrectionists by using their own propagandistic name. They’re the Republican Fascism Caucus to me.

Non-binary prospector for gold:

“There’s gold in them/their hills.”

Confirmed. The deal that McCarthy struck with the insurrectionists includes holding America’s economy hostage using the debt ceiling so fascists can cut Medicare and Social Security to the sick and elderly.

This is a vicious cult that not only does not care about human beings, it is aggressively trying to kill us.

Two years after the Jan. 6 attack, many have been held accountable for their anti-election actions. Congressional Republicans, however, are not among them.

January 6th is a day that should live in infamy. How are we marking the attack on our nation’s Capitol exactly two years later? By letting the man who incited the insurrection run for president while his biggest co-conspirators hijack the House. robertreich.substack.com/p/how

What are the stakes of the movement to ban books? At Anger & Clarity, I argue that teaching literature is virtually impossible in this censorious climate, & that we're asking teachers in certain districts to do a job that sets them up to be attacked. franklinstrong.substack.com/p/

An additional reason the university’s response is so dangerous: It’s not just about a few students needing to step outside the classroom for a few minutes, but about intimidating historians who teach facts that fundamentalists find discomfiting.

New MI Supreme Court justice Kyra Harris Bolden hired Pete as a law clerk. Her fellow justice, Richard Bernstein, said Pete's hiring "disgusted" him. Pete resigned to not be a distraction.

I agree with @radleybalko. Bernstein is unfit to serve.

Kevin McCarthy's deal with his defectors reportedly gives them the opportunity to force the U.S. to default on its debt and crash the global economy.

They plan to use the threat of default to force massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

As he prayed at my side, I was struck by the fact that he seemed to have more faith in an unseen entity than confidence in his own ability. I found that disturbing.
