👤 I showed 5th graders how to trace a photo to make a silhouette with the Curve tool in #GoogleSlides. It’s often easier and less frustrating to draw overlapping chunks.

When we see the splits between non college educated whites and college educated whites, remember that college is where many are exposed to Black people as social and intellectual peers for the first time.

And remember that GOP is desperate to get rid of affirmative action.

Part of the dynamic with the Trump Team contempt motion is that the lawyers are afraid to sign certifications of compliance, given that their client can't be trusted. From the standpoint of the law, someone has to attest to compliance and of course subpoena recipient has to comply

Perhaps the most-terrifying space photograph to date. Astronaut Bruce McCandless II floats completely untethered, away from the safety of the space shuttle, with nothing but his Manned Maneuvering Unit keeping him alive. The first person in history to do so. Credit: NASA

The reports are that Howell hasn't considered the motion yet or held a hearing. Presumably, lawyers like Corcoran and Bobb, the ones involved in the certification of compliance, will point the fingers at others and ultimately Trump in seeking to excuse their noncompliance.

In the wake of Dobbs, Congress has restored a measure of security to marriages and families by passing the Respect for Marriage Act.

We're one step closer on our journey to build a more perfect union. We'll never stop fighting for equality for LGBTQI+ folks and all Americans.

The House just passed an atrocious $858 BILLION in annual defense spending.

That's $45B more than Biden even asked for.

Health care?
"We can't afford it."

Child tax credit?
"Too expensive."

Defense spending?
"Here I just found an extra $45 billion dollars laying around."

Actual patriots. 🇺🇸

Neal Katyal and Michael Luttig, on opposite ends of the political spectrum, argued against the dismantling of democracy before the Court — together. As Americans.

$12 billion: The cost of expanding the Child Tax Credit to 19 million children who had not been able to receive the full benefits

$858 billion: The cost of the latest defense bill

Can you guess which one Congress claims it can't afford to fund?

And the independent search he did, and only at direction of Court, a) showed more docs outstanding; b) showed cavalier mishandling of same; & c) failed manifestly to demonstrate full compliance. This is a "cut-the-crap, Mr Trump," move to which the court likely will be responsive

Wow. DOJ wants to hold Trump in contempt for violation of subpoena. A natural outgrowth of the trickling out of documents and failure to comply with subpoena from last May. But quite a strike across the bow.

55% of Americans support expanding the Supreme Court.

66% support setting term limits.

73% support establishing a code of ethics for SCOTUS justices.

Public opinion is clear: it's time to reform the court. t.co/aU82Ce356R

Democrats deliver again.
Americans are going to go through a frustrating two years, as Republicans won the House. We’ll see a lot of theatrics, obsession with a mythical laptop, but we won’t see legislation that benefits Americans.
