A study of 93 countries finds happiness is positively associated with cat density (and negatively associated with toxoplasma gondii exposure) even after accounting for wealth and health factors.
@jaykuo They don't listen to themselves any more than they listen to us.
🔥 @warnock.senate.gov@bsky.brid.gy: “If Trump thought it was a good economy, he’d be taking credit. But his whole administration keeps saying ‘BIDEN, BIDEN, BIDEN’ because they know things are TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.”
Job numbers make clear that Trump has a reality problem, not a public relations problem

Marc Elias: We all have a role to play, it starts with voting. The more seats Dems win, the larger their margins of victory, and harder for Trump to execute his plans. The weeks before election will be critical, the weeks after even more so. Trump’s told us what he intends to do, take him literally…
@AudhdDespiteNoisyAbleism My first cancer was nothing. A little surgery and it was over. The second, not so much. @uxMark
@Elleaster People will still vote for this criminal, but they're too embarrassed to admit it.

@ai6yr Euronews reported that the lab worker broke a test tube containing the bacteria Yersinia pestis one week (Sept 25) before she died (Oct 2). She started getting sick and was rushed to the hospital two days after the incident.
A 12-year-old in Phoenix, Arizona collected 30,000 diapers for a local food bank in her fifth annual Diaper Drive.
Sloan started the drive at age 7 after volunteering at Nourish Phoenix and noticing empty shelves where diapers should be, learning they were among the most requested items and always ran out first.
This year she set a goal of 22,500 diapers, but donations kept coming until there was hardly room to walk in her house, filling an entire U-Haul truck that left food bank employees stunned.
“If we have the ability to give someone something that they might not have or need, it’s really important to do that,” she told ABC 15. Her mom called her “just so special,” saying she “has such a big heart, loves helping and giving back.”
The drive wrapped up at the end of August, and the diapers are now going to families who rely on Nourish Phoenix for food and clothing.
@uxMark When I was diagnosed, a cousin told me about a friend who had decided to try an alternative treatment to avoid "poison, cut, burn." I went through all three as I trust medical science. Not long ago I asked how the friend was doing and was told she was in stage 4. Thanks, I'll stick with medical science. I've been in remission from my stage 4 for 13 years. @AudhdDespiteNoisyAbleism

@Uair @mastodonmigration When he first ran for governor, I thought, 'just what we need - another billionaire running for office'. I only voted for him because the Republican running against him was so appalling. But Pritzger started surprising me almost from Day 1. He has used his money and his influence to make positive changes to people's lives, to stand up for unions and other things a billionaire might be expected to oppose. And he's consistently stood up to Trump with style.
This is the year that Susan Collins goes down!

Yes, Pete Hegseth thinks this is the Crusades and that God appointed him as its leader. As if She would appoint a dumbass sexual predator phony to do anything for Her.
He also pretends to be George Patton, standing in front of a fifty-foot American flag.
When we throw up our hands and say none of it matters, we're doing the fascists’ work for them. They don't need to hide their corruption if they can convince us it's pointless to look. They don't need to silence truth-tellers if we've already decided truth is meaningless.
