1) people who dispersed when ordered to disperse were still convicted of terrorism. Free speech and freedom of assembly be damned. If I'm reading this correctly they were charged with (but not convicted of) attempted murder.
2) a person who did not attend the protest was convicted for "corruptly concealing a document and conspiracy to conceal documents"
The documents in question were all entirely legal, as far as I can tell (again, free speech, freedom of the press be damned) and it does not appear that they were in any way considered evidence of a crime.
I can't find a reading of this that isn't "we'll come for your family too."
Texas, as far as I can tell, is fully and openly embracing fascism.

One of the hardest questions Todd Blanche will have to answer at his upcoming Senate confirmation hearing is how Ghislaine Maxwell—a convicted sex offender and partner-in-crime to Jeffrey Epstein—ended up in a minimum-security prison. Maxwell’s transfer last summer to a Federal Prison Camp violates Justice Department regulations, which require convicted sex offenders like Maxwell to be housed in higher security facilities for the protection of the surrounding community. Maxwell is the only person in history known to have received an exemption from this policy.

If we have learned one thing about Trump’s base, it should be to not confuse attitudes expressed in approval ratings with any potential change in their voting patterns. Millions of Trump voters openly disapproved of his performance and personality across his three campaigns. Yet they would never consider an alternative that shared power with people of color and required relinquishing the full public authority of their whiteness.
