NHK: Water cooling suspended for nuclear fuel storage pool at Fukushima Daini plant

"...Tokyo Electric Power Company says an alarm went off at the Daini plant shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday to warn about an abnormality with the pump that circulates cooling water for the storage pool at the No.1 reactor.

TEPCO says workers saw smoke rising from the pump and shut down the equipment shortly after 3 p.m., suspending the cooling function. It says a backup pump at the reactor is currently offline for inspection...."

And there was anger in his voice when he said this, it was not a joke, or hyperbole. Although, no one really believes he will do anything he says, I do think this is what he really *feels* and I don't get it.

Why? Why do the 93 million people who live in Iran 'belong' in the stone age? What did they do to the USA to deserve such contempt and violence?

The #Senate on Thursday sent a bipartisan funding deal to reopen #DHS back to the #House, which convened for a 2-minute session & took no action to pass it. The Senate’s bill to fund the agency is now formally back with the House, & the #shutdown will continue at least through Monday, when the chamber will hold its next session. The plan would have funded DHS through Sept 30 but omit money for #Trump’s #immigration crackdown.
