Ooookay so I had an idea and jumped on it.
I'm now the proud owner of writingmonth.org. I'm gonna code up a site for a generic, non-enshittified site for community focused chasing of writing goals, coincidentally focused around the month of November.
Any NaNoWriMo veterans who wanna give me ideas or recommendations, I am very happy to take them. :)
@copdb Absolutely obscene. @ChrisBoese
There are few cases that depict how willing Salt Lake City PD is to brutalize homeless folks as much as the attack on Agnes Martinez.
Ms. Martinez, who was living out of her car, is a 5' 2" woman who didn't want to be arrested for simply trying to survive.
Her refusal to relax her arm when being slammed against her car, which had been illegally searched, was enough for SLCPD officers Lane Wolfenbarger and Paul Mullenax to justify slamming her to the ground so hard her leg shattered.

And then there’s the one Republican in Alabama who has common sense.

@ellenmorrisprewitt And that I understand. I just want the world at large to understand that places other than NO were impacted.
When someone asserts that teachers are “indoctrinating” kids of anything, they’re giving away their absolute cluelessness of what actually takes place in classrooms.
Teachers don’t have time to pee. When the everlovin’ f*ck are they gonna find time to teach your kids how to be trans/gay/woke/etc?! Get a clue, dipshits.
"A spokesman for Arlington National Cemetery said today that holding a campaign event on its soil not only breaks the rules of the cemetery but is a violation of federal law."

@wdlindsy My father is also buried at Arlington, and I wouldn’t have wanted Trump anywhere near his grave, no less filming!
@ellenmorrisprewitt Yes, Katrina is the one you hashtagged to which I replied. I was a shelter manager in Mobile during Katrina and traveled with the city to Biloxi for a meeting of mayors. It was horrible. Everything on the coast was flattened. So many people in MS died. Waveland, MS was gone, and all you heard on the news was NOLA.
I was saddened to learn that @stevesilberman passed away last night from his husband, who shared the news on Bluesky.
Steve was a true mensch: kind, funny, generous, passionate in righteous fury & compassionate.
He helped countless people understand neurodiversity, spoke truth to power, & shared joy in good music, great food, & clever humor.
I’m grateful to have known him online, in life. We will hold him in the light tonight, in death. RIP.
@ellenmorrisprewitt Change that NOLA to #Mississippi, who got hit a whole lot harder than NOLA.
"Today is the day when Ukraine especially honors the memory of all our fallen soldiers. And everyone in Ukraine should always be grateful to all our people who made their most important choice in life, a choice for the benefit of Ukraine and for the sake of our, Ukrainian, national dignity.
Let there be an eternal and bright memory of all our heroes of different times who fought for the independence of Ukraine"
-Volodymyr #Zelenskyy, President of #Ukraine
@MaryAustinBooks That’s why the movie started with him reading the book. @RamenCatholic

"JD Vance defends Trump after cemetery incident, says Harris 'can go to hell"
How can this be? Trump, out on bail, violates Federal Law and all semblance of morality and taste and his chosen VP candidate says Harris should "go to hell"?
