The "Gilded Age" lives on, but in 2024, Republicans are setting a new standard for human rights violations. Workers wouldn't be allowed rest breaks, even in the severe heat of FL's summers, which has worsened with #globalwarming.
28-11: The FL state Senate just passed a bill to remove local govts' authority to adopt heat standards, such as guaranteed shade and rest breaks, for workers.
The bill would make all local heat protections “void & prohibited.”

Weisselberg has now pleaded guilty to perjuring himself in two depositions and at trial, all with respect to the value of his former boss’s Trump Tower apartment. His sentencing is set for April 10, smack dab in the middle of the Manhattan DA’s criminal trial against Trump.

Imagine if instead of making COVID isolation guidelines as weak as the flu...
We approved combo rapid tests like this and made them free and available for everyone...
So that people could tell how long they need to isolate based on science and not feelings, whatever the pathogen.
