@VedaDalsette I pulled this photo from my photos this morning to post. I’ve edited it, but the alt text doesn’t save.

@VedaDalsette No. I copied a photo from someone this morning and and posted it without their context (which had nothing to do with the photo).

@DebR @GottaLaff So the right thing is early and often self-exams along with earlier mammograms. Maybe mammograms should be every 6 months?

@DebR @GottaLaff Fact is, without regular self-check you can be in trouble. Self-check should start at puberty. I had an aggressive tumor that appeared between mammograms. Stage 4. I’d be dead if not for self-check.

@tultican Let teachers teach. If a teacher is unsure of how to design a good test, there are people for that.

@VedaDalsette Try posting one with no alt text, and edit after posting.

@VedaDalsette I just tried a photo, and the alt text is there. Looks like it has to be done from the beginning. Editing doesn’t help.

@VedaDalsette @ivory I’ve done it a few times now, hit save and update every time. No luck.

@ivory How come once I edit a post to add alt text, the alt text doesn’t stick? Why isn’t there a way to do that from the beginning, rather than as an edit? Or am I doing it wrong?
