The decision brought an unexpected end to a hearing where the prosecution argued that Mishin’s social media posts of antisemitic propaganda and photos of himself dressed as a Nazi soldier constituted a motive and the defense countered that he was himself Jewish and a history buff interested in military uniforms.

Arguably, and as the videotape shows, the crowd was pretty calm there. Until Proud Boys showed up. And then the dynamic shifted.

Prosecutors say that about 2 dozen non-defendant associates and/or members of the Proud Boys were utilized as blunt “tools” by PBs on 1/6 to help them pull off the scheme to stop Congress from certifying the 2020 election. Judge Kelly has already approved the tools theory and on Tuesday, he agreed to admit significant evidence collected by the prosecution involving several of these so-called "tools" that Proud Boy defendants allegedly relied on for Jan. 6.
