I talked to a friend who’s a middle school ELA teacher in FL. She has no more classroom library. For the last 20 minutes of each class, instead of doing DEAR (Drop Everything and Read), the students take out their mobile phones.

Out doing errands today when I noticed a large crowd gathered for an anti-abortion rally outside the State Capitol building in Salem, OR. I decided to walk by and get a sense of who was in the crowd and spotted these Oregon Nazis standing in the back handing out fliers for a Holocaust denial film. You'd think "Nazis against genocide" would be a tough PR to pull off. But intellectual consistency and fascism rarely go together.
